President Abbas Receives Walsh
RAMALLAH, March 23, 2007 (WAFA) - President Mahmoud Abbas received on Friday in Ramallah the US Assistant Secretary of State for Middle East Affairs David Walsh.
During the meeting, President Abbas briefed the visiting Mr. Walsh on the efforts made to revive the peace process and ways to make it a success. He also informed Walsh about the efforts exerted to lift the siege imposed on the Palestinian people specially after the formation of the national unity government.
For his part, Walsh told reporters that the meeting was positive, adding that they discussed the preparations for Secretary Rice's visit to the region.
