President Abbas Receives Belgian FM
RAMALLAH, March 23, 2007 (WAFA) - President Mahmoud Abbas received on Friday in Ramallah the Foreign Minister Karel De Gucht.
During the meeting, President Abbas briefed the visiting Minister on the efforts made to revive the peace process and ways to make it a success. He also informed Mr. De Gucht on the efforts exerted to lift the siege imposed on the Palestinian people specially after the formation of the national unity government.
President Abbas stressed the importance of the European role in supporting the peace process, in particular following the establishment of the unity government, which is a national consensus.
