Palestinian Photographer Awarded 2 International Prizes
JENIN, March 5, 2007, (WAFA)-A Palestinian Photographer has awarded two international prizes on a photo taken in Jenin camp of the West Bank.
Mohamme Balas who works for Associated Press said that the photo was taken in Jenin camp and won the first rank of the year 2006 international Press Photos conducted at Missouri university in the USA.
While the same photo won the third rank by International Press Photography Organisation based in Holland, adding that 78000 photos were displayed in the race.
Balas is the only Arabian photographer that he won the prize of the international press photo in the past year.
