President Abbas Receives Leader of British Conservative Party
RAMALLAH, March 2, 2007 (WAFA) - President Mahmoud Abbas received Friday in Ramallah the Leader of the British Conservative Party David Cameron. During the meeting, President Abbas briefed Mr. Cameron on the efforts made to push the peace process forward as well endeavors to form the national unity government.
Following the meeting, Dr. Saeb Erikat, head of the PLO Negotiations Affairs Department, said that President Abbas discussed with Mr. Cameron a number of issues, including peace process.
He stressed that President Abbas affirmed his commitment to a meaningful peace process that leads to the implementation of President Bush's vision of two-state solution living side by side in peace and security, expressing appreciation of President Abbas' to the efforts made by Mr. Cameron which support peace.
