NABLUS, Tuesday, March 31, 2020 (WAFA) – Israeli settlers today razed Palestinian land in the north of the West Bank near an illegal settlement, according to a local activist.
Bashar Qaryouti, from the anti-settlements committee, said settlers have been working on several dunums of land in the villages of Jaloud and Qaryout, south of the northern West Bank city of Nablus.
He said the land, located near the illegal settlement of Shavot Rahel, is planted with olive trees.
Settlers often try to expand their settlements by razing nearby land and then prevent its Palestinian owners from reaching it to eventually incorporate it into their settlement with the consent of the Israeli military government.
