Demolitions in occupied Jerusalem and projected demolitions focus of dailies
RAMALLAH, Thursday, August 22, 2019 (WAFA) – The demolition of a house (or two) in occupied Jerusalem and threats of several other demolitions in the Jerusalem area under the pretext of construction without permit were the main front page story of the three Palestinian Arabic dailies today.
While al-Ayyam and al-Hayat al-Jadida dailies said the Israeli municipality of West Jerusalem demolished one house in Beit Hanina neighborhood under the pretext it was built without a license, al-Quds daily said two houses were demolished in Beit Hanina.
Israel also decided to demolish over 20 structures in the Qalandia area, north of Jerusalem.
In other front pages headlines, al-Quds said:
