RAMALLAH, Wednesday, May 01, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather on Wednesday is relatively warm to warm, dusty and dry with a slight rise of temperature which approaches 5°C above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Wind is southeasterly to easterly and light to moderate. Sea waves are low.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 22°C and in Ramallah and Hebron, a high of 29°C and a low of 21°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 38°C and a low of 24°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 30°C and a low of 24°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Thursday’s temperature is set to further rise and approach 6°C above the seasonal average with warm conditions in mountainous districts and very warm conditions in the Jordan Valley. Scattered light rains are expected to fall on some districts in evening and night hours.
Friday’s temperature is set to significantly drop and approach 4°C lower than the annual average with partially cloudy and pleasant conditions in daytime, and relatively cold conditions in the early morning and night hours, particularly in mountainous districts.
PMD expects Saturday’s temperature to slightly rise and approach 2°C below the seasonal average with partially cloudy and pleasant conditions in daytime and relatively cold conditions in the evening and night hours.
PMD warns people against direct exposure to the sun for long periods, particularly during midday hours, on Wednesday and Thursday.
