LONDON, June 5, 2025 (WAFA) – The United Kingdom denounced Israel’s restrictions on humanitarian aid access to the Gaza Strip.
It further described the new Israeli-controlled aid mechanism as inhumane, calling for the immediate lifting of those limitations.
Speaking during a UN Security Council session, British Ambassador to the UN Barbara Woodward said London supported the latest resolution on Gaza because “the intolerable situation there must end.”
She added that the new aid system — which Israel claims facilitates distribution — has in fact resulted in the killing of Palestinians trying to access limited aid points, calling it “inhumane behavior.”
The UK also voiced support for the UN’s call to launch an immediate and independent investigation into the incidents and to ensure that those responsible are held accountable.
