SARAJEVO, Thursday, March 28, 2019 (WAFA) – Palestinian was unanimously elected as vice chair of the European Mediterranean Regulators Group (EMERG) for this year and chair for 2020, the Ministry of Telecommunications said today.
It said Palestine was elected during the EMERG plenary assembly held in the Bosnia and Herzegovina capital of Sarajevo in the presence of around 30 members from the European Union and the Middle East and North Africa region. It will succeed Bosnia as chair of the organization in 2020.
EMERG was established on July 1, 2008, in Malta, as an independent platform of National Regulatory Authorities for Electronic Communications Networks and Services.
