RAMALLAH, Friday, March 15, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather on Friday is partially cloudy and relatively cold in daytime and cold in nighttime with a rise of temperature, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Scattered rain showers are expected to fall on some districts, especially the northern, in the morning hours. Wind is southwesterly to westerly and moderate to active. Sea waves are medium to high.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 15°C and a low of 8°C and in Ramallah, a high of 14°C and a low of 7°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 22°C and a low of 13°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 19°C and a low of 12°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
A low pressure is expected to affect the region on Saturday, causing temperature to plummet and giving rise to considerably cloudy and cold to very cold conditions.
Scattered rain showers, possibly torrential, along with occasional thunderstorms are expected on various districts, particularly in the afternoon and evening hours.
Sunday’s temperature is expected to rise with partially cloudy and relatively cold conditions in daytime and very cold conditions in nighttime. A chance of sporadic rain showers along with thunderstorms is expected on various districts in daytime.
Monday’s temperature is set to further rise with mostly clear and mild conditions in daytime and cold conditions in nighttime.
PMD warns people against floods in low areas and valleys, low visibility due to fog formation and slippery roads.
