RAMALLAH, Thursday, March 14, 2019 (WAFA) - The overall Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Palestine during February slightly decreased by 0.05% compared with January, according to the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS).
The decrease was by 0.57% in Gaza Strip and by 0.49% in Jerusalem area, while it increased by 0.17% in the West Bank.
When compared to February of last year, CPI increased by 0.44%, with an increase by 1.22% in the West Bank and by 0.13% in Jerusalem, while it decreased by 1.03% in Gaza Strip.
The changes in Palestinian CPI for February 2019 are traced back to changes in prices of the following expenditure subgroups compared with the previous month:
