RAMALLAH, Monday, February 25, 2019 (WAFA) – Weather on Monday is partially cloudy to clear and pleasant in daytime, and relatively cold in nighttime with another rise of temperature which approach 8°C above the seasonal average, said the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Winds are southeasterly to easterly and moderate to active in daytime, and turn to easterly to southeasterly and light to moderate in nighttime. Sea waves remain low.
Temperature in Jerusalem and Bethlehem is expected to reach a high of 21°C and a low of 12°C and in Ramallah, a high of 16°C and a low of 11°C. In Jericho, the Dead Sea and the Jordan Valley, temperature is expected to reach a high of 29°C and a low of 17°C, while it is expected to reach a high of 20°C and a low of 17°C in Gaza and the coastal areas.
Tuesday’s temperature is set to noticeably drop with mostly cloudy and cold conditions in daytime, and occasionally dusty and very cold conditions in nighttime. Sporadic rainfall is expected on the northern districts and extends to other districts with strong wind and high waves.
A low pressure with a cold front is expected to affect the region on Wednesday, causing temperature to plummet. Cloudy and cold conditions are expected in daytime and very cold conditions in nighttime with torrential rains, thunderstorms and occasional hail.
PMD expects the low pressure to continue to affect the region on Thursday, causing temperature to further plummet. Cloudy and cold to very cold conditions along with torrential rains, thunderstorms and occasional hail are expected.
PMD warns people against gusty winds, floods in low areas and valleys, low visibility due to fog formation and slippery roads from Tuesday to Thursday.
