Israeli forces order halt on classrooms construction in Nablus-district village

NABLUS, Tuesday, December 11, 2018 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Tuesday ordered a halt on the construction of classrooms in Furush Beit Dajan village, east of Nablus, said the school principal.

The principal of Furush Beit Dajan Secondary Co-ed School, Tawfeeq Hajj Muhammad, said that Israeli forces and Israeli ‘Civil Administration’ officers broke into the school and handed him an order to halt the construction of the new classrooms.

This came less than a week after Israeli forces seized a concrete pump and two mixers used for the transportation of concrete to the construction site of the classrooms.

The “Civil Administration” is the name Israel gives to the body administering its military occupation of the West Bank.

Furush Beit Dajan is located in the West Bank’s Area C, under full Israeli administrative and military control, where Israel rarely issues construction permits to Palestinians, forcing many to build without permits.

Meanwhile, Israeli forces delivered a stop-construction for a Palestinian house in al-Walaja village, west of Bethlehem.

According to Ibrahim Awadallah, a local activist, a military force stormed the village and delivered a notice for Mustafa Fayez Abed-Rabbu ordering him to halt the construction of a 100-meter-square annex purportedly for unlicensed construction.
