RAMALLAH, May 16, 2025 (WAFA) –The Ministry of Education and Higher Education reported that Israeli occupation forces have been waging fierce and aggressive attacks on schools in the towns of Bruqin and Kafr ad-Dik, west of Salfit, since Thursday.
The ministry reported that the occupation army stormed Al-Munjid Private School in Bruqin and the Martyr Mazen Abu Al-Wafa' Basic School in Kafr ad-Dik. The forces also converted the As-Salam Kindergarten building in Kafr ad-Dik into a military outpost.
It added that the occupation bulldozers have also begun excavation and bulldozing works next to the Bruqin Girls’ Primary School.
The ministry stressed that these escalating violations against schools and educational staff throughout the West Bank, including Jerusalem and Gaza, are part of a systematic colonial aggression.
It called on international organizations, human rights groups, and education advocacy bodies to urgently intervene to halt these ongoing violations and hold the occupation accountable for its attacks on schools, universities, and educational institutions.
