RIYADH, Sunday, December 09, 2018 (WAFA) - Saudi King Salman Bin Abdul-Aziz Sunday said in his opening speech at the Gulf Cooperation Council’s (GCC) 39th annual summit in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, that that the Palestinian cause “is at the forefront of our concerns.”
The king called on the international community to uphold its responsibilities and take the necessary measures to protect the Palestinian people from the Israeli aggression; which he slammed as a provocation to the feelings of Arabs and Muslims and peace-loving nations.
He affirmed the kingdom’s position towards the Palestinian issue and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people to an independent state, with East Jerusalem as its capital.
