ROME, Saturday, November 24, 2018 (WAFA) – Foreign Minister Riyad Malki met in Rome on Saturday with his Maltese counterpart, Carmelo Abela, on the sidelines of the Mediterranean Dialogues – Rome-MED.

The two officials discussed bilateral relations and strengthening friendship between their countries.

Malki briefed Abela on the latest political developments in Palestine and called on Malta to play a vital role through its membership in the European Union to get Europe to push forward the Palestinian-Israeli peace process.

Abela said his country, as the rest of the European Union, is committed to the two-state solution and that the EU should play a bigger role in the peace process.
