Israeli colonists block road south of Nablus with earth mounds

NABLUS, June 18, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonists on Wednesday blocked a road north of the village of Duma south of Nablus with earth mounds, according to a local official.

Suleiman Dawabsha, head of the Duma Village Council, told WAFA that a bulldozer belonging to the colonists, under the protection of Israeli soldiers, sealed off the road connecting Duma to the nearby village of Majdal Bani Fadil.

The road had been closed for years before local residents recently reopened it, following the installation of a new gate at the village entrance. However, colonists have now re-blocked the road, pushing the closure closer to residential areas. This poses a danger to residents and restricts farmers’ access to their land.

The village of Duma is subjected to frequent, near-daily attacks by colonists targeting residents and their property.
