RAMALLAH, November 26, 2017 (WAFA) – Construction, road, water and sewage indices increased in the West Bank during October 2017 compared with the previous month, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said on Sunday.
Construction Cost Index (CCI) for residential buildings increased by 0.35% due to the increase in rental of equipment by 0.32% and prices of raw materials by 0.56%. At the same time, labor wages remained stable during October compared with the previous month.
The CCI for non-residential buildings also increased by 0.38% in the West Bank during October due to the increase in rental of equipment by 0.38% and prices of raw materials by 0.59%. Labor wages remained stable during October when compared with the previous month.
CCI for skeleton buildings increased as well by 0.57% in the West Bank during October due to increase in rental of equipment by 0.42% and prices of raw materials by 0.85%. Labor wages remained stable.
The overall Road Cost Index (RCI) increased by 0.92% in the West Bank during October due to the increase in operating costs of equipment and maintenance by 1.81% and prices of raw materials by 1.47%, whereas prices of rental of equipment slightly increased by 0.02%. Labor wages remained stable.
The overall Water Networks Cost Index (WNCI) increased by 0.63%, Water Reservoirs Cost Index also increased by 1.14%, and Water Networks Cost Index increased by 0.42% during October compared with the previous month.
The overall Sewage Networks Cost Index (SNCI) increased by 0.50%.
