Israeli soldiers detain injured youth in al-Arroub refugee camp

HEBRON, November 26, 2017 (WAFA) – A Palestinian youth was injured and detained by Israeli soldiers while other protesters were targeted with steel rounds, during clashes with Israeli army forces in al-Arroub refugee camp, to the north of Hebron in the occupied West Bank.

Security sources said Mohammad Abdullah Abu Rayya, 20, was hit by a live shot in his foot during the clashes, and while he was being transfered to hospital for treatment, the soldiers took him out of the ambulance and detained him.

Israeli soldiers also used rubber-coated steel rounds and teargas canisters to disperse the protesting youth, injuring many of them and causing many cases of suffocation as a result of teargas use.

Many of those who were injured or who suffocated were treated at the scene.
