NABLUS, April 26, 2017 (WAFA) – Israeli soldiers Wednesday shot and injured a Palestinian man near Huwwara checkpoint, south of Nablus in the West Bank, according to medical sources.
Ahmad Jibril, director of the Palestinian Red Crescent ambulance service in Nablus, said soldiers in the area opened fire at the young man, who was not immediately identified, and injured him in the abdomen. The extent of his injury was not immediately known.
The soldiers denied access of Red Crescent medical teams to the site, he said, adding that the soldiers took the injured man to an unknown destination.
Israeli reports said the Palestinian, who they claimed attempted to attack soldiers, is related to another man shot and injured at the same location on Tuesday and for the same reason.
They said both come from Balata refugee camp in Nablus.
