Israeli colonist closes entrance to Salfit-area village

SALFIT, June 10, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli colonist, under the protection of the Israeli occupation forces, Tuesday morning closed the entrance to the village of Yasuf, east of the city of Salfit.

Local sources reported that a colonist, under the protection of Israeli occupation forces, blocked the entrance to the village and threw large rocks in the middle of the street.

The sources indicated that this entrance is one of the main and almost only entrances leading to the city of Salfit, in light of the continued closure of the northern entrance to the city and the gate of the town of Bruqin, exacerbating the suffering of citizens during their daily commute.

The Wall and Settlement Resistance Commission stated in a report that the wave of colonists' terrorism last month widely affected villages in the Salfit Governorate, specifically Bruqin and Kafr ad-Dik.

The commission indicated that settler attacks were concentrated in the governorates of Nablus with 91 attacks, Ramallah with 89, and Hebron with 72.

She noted that colonists carried out 356 acts of vandalism and theft of Palestinian property, affecting vast areas of land in the governorates of Hebron, Ramallah, Salfit, Tulkarm, and Nablus.

Meanwhile, Israeli colonists released their livestock among the tents of citizens in Al-Farisiya in the northern Jordan Valley.

Local sources reported that armed colonists grazed their livestock among the tents of local residents Shamekh Daraghmeh, sparking fear among his children.

Al-Farisiya witnesses escalating attacks by colonists on a daily basis against citizens and their property.
