WASHINGTON, June 10, 2025 (WAFA) – Activists and human rights organizations have emailed an appeal to members of Congress to take urgent action to stop supporting ongoing war crimes in Gaza by supporting the "Block the Bombs Act," which aims to halt US arms shipments to Israel.

Congresswoman Dalia Ramirez and more than 20 other members introduced a new bill to Congress on the 5th of this month, titled the "Block the Bombs Act."

This bill aims to immediately ban the export of US-made bombs used in Gaza. If passed, this legislation would prohibit the transfer of offensive weapons to Israel and require it to comply with US and international law.

The protesters also called on members of Congress to take immediate action to protect the Freedom Flotilla team and the humanitarian aid bound for Gaza, emphasizing that delivering food and medicine is not a crime, but rather a humanitarian duty.
