Weather Forecast: Low pressure affects country

RAMALLAH, December 14, 2016 (WAFA) – Weather on Wednesday is mainly cloudy, chilly and rainy with a drop in temperatures approaching about five degrees Celsius below annual average, according to the Palestine Meteorological Department.

Heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and occasional hail are expected in many areas.

Winds are westerly to northwesterly and active to occasionally windy. Sea waves are medium to high.

A chance of sporadic rain showers is also expected for Thursday and Friday, with a slight rise in temperatures.

No significant change in temperatures is expected on Saturday.

The meteorological department warned people against the possibility of flooding in low lying areas, high speed winds reaching as much as 70 kilometers per hour and the possibility of sliding at roads.
