RAMALLAH, March 13, 2016 (WAFA) – Israel Sunday denied the Foreign Minister of Indonesia Retno Marsudi and the accompanying delegation entry into the West Bank to officially inaugurate the honorary consulate of the Republic of Indonesia in Ramallah.
In response to Israel’s move, the Palestinian Minister of Foreign Affairs Riyad al-Malki headed to the Jordanian capital Amman to meet with Marsudi to discuss issues of mutual interest and bilateral relations as planned.
The ministry said in a press release, “In recognition of the historical and unique ties between Palestine and Indonesia and this country’s supportive stance with the Palestinian people, al-Malki traveled to Amman to meet with his Indonesian counterpart.”
