Israeli Forces Detain 15 Palestinians from West Bank

RAMALLAH, March 2, 2016 (WAFA) - Israeli forces overnight detained 15 Palestinians during raids into several West Bank districts, said Palestine Prisoner’s Society.

Five Palestinians were detained from Ramallah district, three others from Jenin, two others from Jerusalem, two others from Salfit, another from Nablus, another from Tubas and another from Tulkarem.

In the central West Bank districts of Ramallah and al-Bireh, forces detained a Palestinian from Birzeit town. The detainee was identified as Mahdi Ateeq, 28.

Forces also detained Ahmad al-Hajj, together with his brothers, Samer and Adham, in their 20s, from Beit Rima village, northwest of Ramallah city.

Another Palestinian identified as Muhammad Ash-Shu‘aibi was detained from the nearby town of Deir Ghassana.

To the south of Ramallah, in Jerusalem district, forces detained two Palestinians identified as Eyad Shamasna, 27, and Baker Ash-Shami, 42.

To the north of Ramallah, in Salfit district, forces detained Ibrahim Ahmad and Omar Amer.

Forces also detained Omar Mousa from Zawata village, north of Nablus in the northern West Bank.

Meanwhile, forces stationed at al-Karameh border crossing, between the West Bank and Jordan, detained ‘Ala Shabrawi, 33, who comes from Tulkarem district.

Forces detained another Palestinian identified as Imad al-Kilani from Tubas district.

Three Palestinians identified as Imad Hirzallah, 18, Majd Jarban, 18, and his brother, Amjad, 19, were detained from the Jenin town of Ya‘bad.

Other 15 Palestinians were detained Wednesday dawn from the West Bank. This brings the total number of Palestinians detained Wednesday to 30.
