Israeli Forces Detain Seven Palestinians in West Bank

BETHLEHEM, March 1, 2016 (WAFA) - Israeli forces overnight detained seven Palestinians, including a minor, from a number of West Bank districts, said security sources.

In the southern West Bank district of Bethlehem, two Palestinians were detained Monday evening at a flying checkpoint at the western entrance of Beit Jala.

They were identified as Mu‘ath Shubaki and Hashem Shehadeh.

Forces also detained two Palestinians at the western entrance of Beit Fajjar town, south of the city.

They were identified as Shahin Shahin, 17, and Rami Taqatqa, 20.

In the northern West Bank district of Jenin, forces raided Qabatiya town, south of the city, and detained two Palestinians.

Forces detained Ashraf Zakarna, 28, and Muhammad Zakarna, 21, after breaking into and ransacking their families’ houses.

Forces also stormed the family house of Taysir Zakarna during the predawn raid, however, no further arrests were made.

Meanwhile, a Palestinian was detained from Qalqilya city in the northern West Bank.

Forces detained Nasser Freij, 21, after storming and ransacking his family’s house.
