Ten Palestinians Detained in West Bank, Total Arrests Hits 29

NABLUS, February 23, 2016 (WAFA) - Israeli forces Monday detained 10 Palestinians from Nablus, Ramallah, and Bethlehem districts, bringing up the total number of Palestinians detained since overnight to 29, said the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS).

Israeli forces detained four Palestinians from Nablus, bringing the total number of Palestinians detained from the district since overnight to 13.

The detainees were identified as Akram Hussein, Muhammad al-Maraka, Sami and Thaer Saleh.

Meanwhile, forces detained five Palestinians during military raids across Ramallah and al-Bireh district.

They were identified as Sa‘id al-Qasrawi, 22, Ayman Abu ‘Eram, a former detainee, and Sami Hussein, a PPS Legal Department officer who had served 25 years in Israeli detention centers, in addition to Faraj Rummana and Ibrahim As-Sabi‘.

In the southern West Bank district of Bethlehem, a Palestinian was detained as he attempted to cross the Container Israeli military checkpoint.

He was identified as Fawzi al-Ra‘i, a local from Jericho district.

This brought the total number of Palestinians detained since overnight to 29 Palestinians, including a 50-year-old blind man.
