JENIN, February 22, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli army forces Monday closed all roads leading to the town of Qabatiya, south of Jenin, following the fatal shooting of a Palestinian teenager from the town by the army, according to local sources.
Deputy Governor of Jenin, Kamal Abu Ar-rub, told WAFA that Israeli military vehicles and bulldozers closed with earth mounds all the entrances to Qabatiya, and banned the entry and exit of local Palestinians into and out of the town.
The Israeli army also broke into the house of Qusai Abu Ar-rub, 17, who was shot dead by the army on Sunday, and interrogated members of his family.
During the ongoing military offensive in Qabatiya, Israeli troops raided a number of homes, took pictures of them, and questioned their residents.
This is the second time Israel closes Qabatiya in less than a one-month time.
10 Palestinian teenagers from Qabatiya have been fatally shot by Israeli troops since the beginning of the unrest in the West Bank in early October 2015.
