RAMALLAH, January 26, 2016 (WAFA) – Weather on Tuesday is very cold, rainy and stormy as temperatures are anticipated to further significantly drop, and with a high chance of snowfall over areas at an altitude of +700 meters above sea level, according to the Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD).
Heavy rain showers accompanied by thunderstorms are expected to over all districts during the day, with occasional hail. Winds are southwesterly to westerly, and active to gusty. Sea waves are high to occasionally active.
PMD warned about possible flooding in low areas and valleys, as well as about the possibility of snow accumulation on Monday and Tuesday.
Similar weather conditions are expected for Wednesday, also with a chance of snowfall over areas at an altitude of +700 meters above sea level. The effects of the low pressure are expected to gradually disappear during the evening and night hours Wednesday.
However on Thursday, temperatures are expected to slightly rise, with generally clear to partly cloudy skies expected.
Temperatures are expected to continue to rise on Friday, yet with generally cold atmosphere expected to prevail.
