RAMALLAH, January 20, 2016 (WAFA) – Israeli forces Wednesday detained 11 Palestinians in the West Bank and Jerusalem, most of them during night raids into their homes, according to the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS).
In Jerusalem, Israeli police detained Mufid Abu Khaled, 16, Mahdi Abul-Hummus, 17, and Yousef Shweki, 17.
Meanwhile in Bethlehem district, Israeli army forces detained three Palestinians, who were identified as Tawfiq Hanania, Maher Hanania, and Hammad Abden-Nabi, 19.
In Nablus, army detained four Palestinians, Alaa Bani Shamsa, Iyad Odeh, Mohammad Mousa Said, and Haitham Aqra. Both Said and Aqra were detained while attempting to cross Za’tara military checkpoint, on Nablus-Ramallah road.
Another Palestinians, Mohammad Shuani, was detained by Israeli troops in Qalandia refugee camp, to the north of Jerusalem.
The latest arrests bring the number of Palestinians detained by Israeli forces in the West Bank and Jerusalem since early Wednesday morning to 25. At least 15 Palestinians were detained earlier on Wednesday.
