HEBRON, January 4, 2016 (WAFA)
– Israeli army forces Monday detained at least 20 Palestinians, mostly during
predawn and night raids across the West Bank districts, said local and security
sources.
In Hebron, Israeli troops
detained at least four Palestinians after raiding their homes and searching
their homes.
The detainees were identified
as Mohammad Jabari, 39, Abdul-Hafiz Jabari, 30, and Munther Rajabi, 18.
Israeli army also stormed the
nearby town of Beit Ummar, where they detained two Palestinians, Muhannad
Barbarawi, and Muhannad Abu-Ayyash, 19. Forces also summoned two Palestinian
minors from Beit Ummar for interrogation.
Another Palestinian, Azhar
Mahariq, 21, was also reportedly detained by the Israeli army in Hebron.
Meanwhile in Tubas, north east
of the West Bank, Israeli troops broke into Faraa refugee camp and detained
four Palestinians, identified as Ra’fat Abul-Hassan, 24, Qais Madi, 25,
Mohammad Bayadseh, 23, and Rabee Shawish, 24.
In Nablus, the Israeli army
broke into the village of Tell and detained two Palestinians, identified as
Abdur-Rahmad Shtayyeh and Majd Shtayyeh.
Forces further stormed the
village of Barta’a, to the southwest of Jenin, and detained 46-year-old
Abdul-Wahhab Qabaha, after raiding his house and a commercial store of his own
in the village.
The army also reportedly
detained two other Palestinians at Barta’a checkpoint. They were identified as
Mo’nes Qabaha, 28, and Baraa Jad, 26.
Meanwhile in Jerusalem, Israeli
forces detained three Palestinians while they were attempting to cross Jaba
checkpoint, east of the city. They were identified as Ghassan Assi, Nour
Shaalbi, and Mohammad Talhami.
Army forces also detained Hamza
Masri in Bethlehem and Mohammad Ebeid, 24, in Ramallah.
Army further summoned seven
Palestinians from Beit Fajjar, a village near Bethlehehm, to appear for
interrogation.
