Update: Palestinian Man Shot in Clashes with Israeli Soldiers Succumbs to Wounds

RAMALLAH, December 31, 2015 (WAFA) - A 38-year-old Palestinian man from al-Jalazon refugee camp died on Thursday after succumbing to wounds sustained early December during confrontations with the Israeli army forces.

Medical sources said Shadi Ghabish from al-Zira'a neighborhood close to the refugee camp died at his family home, where he was resting after sustaining an injury due to being hit with a dum-dum bullet, which exploded in his pelvis area.

According to the family, Ghabish's health deteriorated and they called a doctor who pronounced him dead immediately.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health's Spokesperson Muhammad al-Awawdeh said Ghabish was injured on December 4, 2015 and was allowed to leave the hospital on December 13 with a stable condition.

He said that Ghabish was transferred to the Palestinian Medical Complex in Ramallah by the Palestinian Red Crescent crews, where the public prosecution is to investigate the causes of death.

The ministry of health concluded that Ghabish died because of health complications as a result to the injury sustained during the confrontations.

With Ghabish' death, the number of Palestinians killed since early October 2015 in the unrest has jumped to 144.
