RAMALLAH, December 19, 2015 (WAFA) – Israeli
forces Saturday re-opened the main entrance leading to Aboud village to the
northwest of Ramallah, following a closure that lasted for 20 consecutive days,
according to a local official.
Head of Aboud village council, Yousif Misa’ad,
told WAFA that Israeli bulldozers removed the earth mounds placed by the
Israeli army at the entrance of the village, in the aftermath of the Israeli
army’s killing of one of the village locals.
A Palestinian youth identified as Abdel-Rahman
al-Barghothi, was shot dead by Israeli forces in early December, following an
alleged stabbing attempt at the village entrance. Witnesses at the scene denied
the Israeli allegations, stating that the youth was killed in cold-blood.
Husni al-Barghouthi, Abdel al-Rahman's uncle,
confirmed that soldiers 'planted a knife beside Abdel-Rahman’s body.'
Al-Barghothi was ordered to show his identity card, when soldiers opened fire
at him, hitting him in the neck and head with over six bullets, causing his immediate
death,’ confirmed the uncle.
Since then, the village locals were forced to
take alternative long detours to get into and out of the village.
Meanwhile on Friday, forces blocked the western
entrance of the Ramallah village of Silwad with earth mounds, in the aftermath
of the Israeli army’s killing of a Palestinian local, whom the former accused
of allegedly carrying out a car-ramming attack against Israeli soldiers.
