JENIN, December 19, 2015 (WAFA) – Israeli forces overnight detained
a Palestinian and summoned four others during predawn raids into a number of
West Bank districts, said security sources and a local activist.
Israeli forces raided the northern West Bank city of Jenin and detained
a Palestinian identified as Muhammad Nazzal, 22. Forces further confiscated Nazzal’s
laptop after breaking into and ransacking his family’s house in Marah neighborhood.
During the raid, forces stormed and searched several other houses
in the area, interrogating their occupants after forcing them to stay outside
in the cold winter weather.
Three homeowners were identified as Muhammad Nazzal, ‘Omar
al-Sakran, and his brother, Mahmoud.
Meanwhile, forces summoned two Palestinians during a predawn raid
into a Bethlehem town.
Forces raided Beit Fajjar town, south of Bethlehem, and handed
Mujahed Thawabta, 24, and his cousin, Isma‘il, 28, notices ordering them to
turn themselves over to the Israeli intelligence.
In the meantime in Hebron district, forces summoned other
Palestinians and ransacked several houses.
WAFA reported on anti-wall and settlement activist Muhammad ‘Awad
as saying that forces raided Beit Ummar, a town north of the city, where they
stormed several houses and summoned two Palestinians.
Youssef Ikhlail, 35, a former detainee, and his relative, Muhammad,
20, were handed similar notices.
During the raid, troops fired stun grenades toward Palestinian
houses before retreating to the nearby Israeli settlement of Karmei Zur.
Furthermore, troops broke into and ransacked a number of
Palestinian houses in Hebron city.
