JERUSALEM, December 17, 2015 (WAFA) –
Israeli authorities Thursday notified four Palestinian families from Jerusalem
of lawsuits filed by Israeli settler groups to evict them from the homes they have
been occupying since 1967.
One of the owners Hamouda Castero
said the four families, Castero, Hashima, Sidawi and Maswada, have been living
in the homes located in Aqabat al-Khaldia in the old city of Jerusalem since
1967, but Israeli settlers have claimed ownership before 1948.
Researcher in settlement activities Ahmad
Sub Laban said the old city of Jerusalem has over 71 settlement outposts and 15
Palestinian families are at risk of being evicted from their homes.
He said it is considered a form of mass
displacement of Palestinians to replace them with Israeli settlers.
