BETHLEHEM,
December 17, 2015 (WAFA) – Israeli soldiers forced owners of stores in Umm
Salamona village, south of Bethlehem, to shut down their businesses, under the
pretext of stone throwing.
Head
of Umm Salamona village council, Mahmoud Taqatqa, told WAFA Israeli forces
raided the village with military reinforcements, and forced stores’ owners,
under gunpoint, to shut down their stores.
Israeli
army argued that this measure was taken, because some Palestinians from the
village of Um Salamona threw stones at Israeli soldiers.
Taqatqa added for days Um Salamona village has
been experiencing continuous raids, with Israeli soldiers setting up
checkpoints and searching passing vehicles.
