RAMALLAH, December 17, 2015 (WAFA) –
Secretary General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation
Organization (PLO) Saeb Erekat Thursday said the International Quartet has not
come up with any initiative to stop Israeli violations against Palestinians
during the meeting with the Palestinian leadership on Wednesday.
Erekat told the Voice of Palestine
that the Quartet has pledged to fulfill its obligations towards the
Palestinians, including the establishment of a Palestinian state on the 1967
borders.
He said the Palestinian leadership
demanded the Quartet to put an end to Israeli army practices against Palestinians;
including daily extrajudicial killings, land confiscation, home demolitions and
checkpoints across the West Bank.
“It is about time to put Israel,
which chose security measures as a tool to punish our people, on trial for its
crimes,” said Erekat.
