RAMALLAH, December 17, 2015 (WAFA) – At
least 28 Palestinians were detained by Israeli forces on Thursday, most of them
during predawn raids on towns across the West Bank districts and Jerusalem,
according to local and security sources.
In Jerusalem, Israeli police detained
seven Palestinian, including a pregnant woman and three children.
The detainees were identified as Abeer
Ziyad, Mohammad Abu-Qalbin, 13, Mohammad Mubayed, 15, Safir Tahan, 15, Robin
Abu-Najma, Mohammad Bibi, and Ahmad Seyam.
In Ramallah district, Israeli army
broke into Beitunia city and detained five school children while they were
leaving their school.
Earlier last night, Israeli army broke
into Qalandia refugee camp and detained five Palestinians, identified as
Mohammad Elayyan, Mousa Reyahi, Khader Reyahi, Mahdi Abu-Daher, and Ayman
Abu-Daher.
Meanwhile in Tulkarm district, Israeli
soldiers detained three Palestinians, who were identified as Nemer Nayfeh, 45,
and Fawwaz Ashqar, 52, and his son, Udai, 21.
In Hebron district, in southern West
Bank, Israeli troops broke into the town of Beit Ummar, where they detained
three Palestinians after raiding their homes.
The three were identified as Rami
Abu-Dayye, 20, Moath Ekhlail, 19, and Karam Ekhlail, 16. They were led to the nearby
Etzion military compound.
During the Israeli offensive in Beit
Ummar, Israeli soldiers fired teargas canisters towards local Palestinians,
causing multiple cases of suffocation due to teargas inhalation.
In Qalqilia district, Israeli troops
detained two Palestinians, identified as Islam Tawil, 22, and Abdul-Karim
Shubeta, 28.
Another Palestinian, Mohammad Kleib,
was detained by Israeli troops in the village of Hares in Salfit district.
Forces also stormed the village of
Ebayat, near Bethlehem, where they detained Ayman Khatib, 17.
In the meantime, Israeli troops broke
into the town of Jaba, southwest of Jenin, and detained a Palestinian youth,
25-year-old Fares Fashafsheh, after raiding and searching his house.
The Israeli army also stormed the
nearby village of Sanour and searched multiple homes, but there were no reports
of arrests.
In Jerusalem district, army forces
stormed Qalandia refugee camp, where they raided a youth club and sabotaged its
content.
Israeli soldiers also raided a number
of homes and commercial stores. Troops further assaulted a young man in the
camp, but there were no reports of arrests.
In Ramallah, Israeli troops detained a
worker from a fuel station in the village of Silwad where he works. He was not
identified yet.
