RAMALLAH,
April 5, 2015 (WAFA) – The three Palestinian Arabic dailies highlighted in
their Sunday issue the so-called Islamic State in Iraq and Syria group invasion
of the besieged Palestinian refugee camp al-Yarmouk, on the outskirts of Damascus,
amid airstrikes, assassination and mass kidnapping.
The
dailies said the Palestinian presidency was liaising with multiple parties,
including Arab, International and humanitarian ones, to ensure the safety of
the trapped Palestinian refugees in al-Yarmouk. The papers didn’t add any
further information regarding the Presidency’s efforts.

shame’.

protest of the disastrous humanitarian situation in al-Yarmouk.
On
a different note, al-Hayat al-Jadida focused on President Mahmoud Abbas, during
a televised interview with Arab TV, who called on Israelis not to cut the hand
extended for peace, because the substitutes are catastrophic.
The
paper underlined in red Abbas’ remarks on Jerusalem, saying: “We will not give
up Jerusalem and Israel will benefit from the Arab peace initiative.
Al-Hayat
al-Jadida and al-Ayyam said extremist Jewish settlers sprayed pepper gas at an
11-year-old Palestinian girl in Hebron on Saturday. The girl who was standing
in front of her home was moderately injured and treated by Ambulance crews at
the spot.
