HEBRON, June 19, 2025 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces on Thursday demolished the entrances of numerous commercial shops and businesses in the town of al-Ramadin, located south of Hebron in the occupied West Bank.
According to Anis al-Zagharna, head of the al-Ramadin municipality, Israeli military vehicles and bulldozers stormed the main entrance of the town and the key road connecting al-Dhahiriya and al-Ramadin, completely blocking access and restricting civilian movement.
The forces then proceeded to bulldoze the entrances of dozens of commercial establishments, and dug a trench along the road.
Al-Zagharna stated that these shops, which line the main road, serve as a primary source of income for many local families. He warned that the Israeli measures aim to cut off access to the businesses and force shop owners to shut down by denying customers entry.
A week ago, Israeli forces issued demolition notices to more than 30 shops and businesses in the area. In December 2023, over 40 shops and structures were demolished in the same location, following forced evacuations by the army.
