HEBRON, February 24, 2015 (WAFA) – Israeli forces demolished
Tuesday morning a Palestinian house under construction at al-‘Uddeisa locality
in Sa‘ir town to the northeast of Hebron, said security sources.
Accompanied by the so-called Zoning and Construction Committee and
the Civil Administration officers and bulldozers, large Israeli troops stormed Sa‘ir
and cordoned off a house under construction to demolish it for allegedly being
built without a construction permit.
The house occupied an area of approximately 170 meter square and
belongs to Nasr Jaradat.
Meanwhile, a Palestinian sustained wounds Monday evening after
being run over by a settler’s vehicle along the route of the apartheid wall in
al-Burj area, south of the city.
Hasan Badran, 21, sustained moderate wounds as a result of the
hit-and-run attack.
In the meantime, soldiers set up roadblocks at the entrances of
Halhul, Sa‘ir and al-Fawwar refugee camp, where they stopped and inspected
vehicles with Palestinian registration plates and examined passengers’ identity
cards.
Despite filing applications,
Palestinians in the West Bank, especially East Jerusalem, are rarely granted
construction permits by Israeli occupation authorities, which is frequently utilized
as a pretext for demolishing Palestinian houses.
