RAMALLAH, June 5, 2026 (WAFA) – An 18-year-old Palestinian was killed by Israeli occupation forces on Thursday night during a raid into the village of Beitin, east of Ramallah.

Local sources told WAFA that Israeli forces stormed the village, triggering confrontations with residents. During the raid, soldiers fired live ammunition, tear gas and stun grenades.

The raid also sparked a fire in agricultural land in the center of the village.

The Palestinian Ministry of Health said it was informed by the General Authority of Civil Affairs that Haitham Ezzedine Omar Hmeida, 18, was killed by Israeli gunfire. Israeli forces are withholding his body.
