RAMALLAH, June 4, 2026 (WAFA) – An Israeli colonist on Thursday evening attacked dozens of children while they were training at a sports field in the village of Shuqba, west of Ramallah.

Khaled Mutawa, media officer at the village council, told WAFA that a colonist from a nearby colony built on village land stormed the playground while children from a local sports academy were training and attacked them with stones and sticks.

He added that the colonist chased the children with his vehicle, while coach Youssef Al-Nasri was struck directly by a stone and sustained injuries.

According to Mutawa, the attack took place under the protection of Israeli occupation soldiers. Residents rushed to the area to help and protect the children, while soldiers fired large quantities of tear gas canisters at local residents.
