HEBRON,
November 30, 2014 (WAFA) – At least 13 Palestinians were arrested by the
Israeli forces in the West Bank and Jerusalem during the past 24 hours,
bringing up the total number of Palestinians arrested
during November to 536, most of whom are minors, according to the
Palestinian Prisoner’s Club (PPC).
In Hebron,
army forces stormed al-Fawwar refugee camp, north of the city, and arrested six
Palestinians. Three of them were identified as Ibrahim Sarahna, Feras
Titi, and Yaman Khashan. PCC said the detainees were beat up by army
soldiers during the arrest.
Meanwhile,
army broke through the nearby towns of Beit Ummar and Beit Kahil, where they
arrested two local residents, who were identified as Montaser Khalil and
Imad-Eddine Asafra, 16.
In the
meantime, army forces arrested two Palestinian youngsters in the village of
Azzoun, to the east of Qalqilia, following confrontations which erupted in the
village last night. They were identified as Mohammad Salim, 22, and Murad
Salim, 23.
In
Bethlehem, army stormed the village of Teku, to the south of the city, and
arrested teenager Ahmad Umour.
Earlier at
night, Israeli police arrested five Palestinians across occupied East
Jerusalem.
The
midnight arrests in Jerusalem came hours after a Palestinian resident of Jerusalem
was assaulted by Jewish settlers. The Jerusalemite, identified as Majdi Najeeb,
26, was assaulted by Jewish fanatics and was transferred to hospital for
medical treatment.
The PPC
said in a special report that more than 536 Palestinians were arrested in the
West Bank and Jerusalem during November, including 233 in Jerusalem alone; most
of whom are minors.
