(WAFA) – Minister of Awqaf and Religious Affairs, Mahmoud al-Habbash, stressed
Monday the importance of the role of media and economy in upholding Jerusalem
and its residents in the face of the continued Israeli efforts to Judaize the
city.
Al-Habbash’s remarks
came as he addressed the First International Conference “the Way to Jerusalem”
under the auspices of King Abdullah II of Jordan in Amman.
He said peace could not
be achieved without Jerusalem being the capital of the State of Palestine,
calling upon the conference to highlight the issue of Jerusalem at the media,
political and economic levels.
Al-Habbash called upon
the Arab and Muslim countries to support Jerusalem financially and politically
against the ongoing Israeli violations.
