QALQILIYA, July 17, 2026 (WAFA) – Israeli occupation forces obstructed the movement of Palestinians east of Qalqiliya and raided two towns in Bethlehem governorate on Friday evening, said local sources.

In Qalqiliya, eyewitnesses told WAFA that Israeli forces set up a military checkpoint between the towns of Jayyous and Nabi Ilyas, east of Qalqiliya, stopping Palestinian vehicles and checking passengers’ identification cards, which impeded the movement of residents.

In Bethlehem, Israeli forces raided the town of Beit Fajjar, south of Bethlehem, deployed in the Al-Muthallath area in the center of the town, and fired sound bombs; however, no injuries were reported.

Earlier this evening, Israeli occupation forces raided the town of Za’tara, east of Bethlehem, and deployed in several areas. No home raids or detentions were reported.
