BRUSSELS, July 12, 2026 (WAFA) – Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa on Sunday evening met with Malta’s Minister for Foreign and European Affairs Chris Fearne in the Belgian capital, Brussels, on the sidelines of the Palestine Donor Group (PDG) meeting.
The meeting was attended by Minister of Finance Estefan Salameh, Palestine’s Ambassador to Belgium, Luxembourg, and the European Union, Amal Jadou Shakaa, and Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Political Affairs, Ambassador Omar Awadallah.
Mustafa and Fearne discussed the latest developments in Palestine amid continued Israeli occupation measures in the West Bank, the escalation of colonists’ terrorism, land seizure for colonial expansion, and the continued financial blockade and withholding of Palestinian tax revenues.
Regarding the situation in the Gaza Strip, Mustafa called on the international community to exert further pressure on Israel to open crossings and allow the entry of aid, reconstruction supplies and early recovery materials, given the worsening humanitarian conditions in the Strip, and to halt all measures hindering the work of relief and humanitarian institutions.
The Prime Minister praised Malta’s positions in support of the Palestinian cause and the Palestinian people, as well as its support for UNRWA.
