BERLIN, May 28, 2026 (WAFA) – Students in the German capital, Berlin, held a protest on Thursday demanding an academic boycott of Israel.

A large number of students gathered in front of the Institute for Social and Cultural Anthropology at the Free University of Berlin, calling on the university to sever its academic ties with Israel.

The demonstrators held banners with slogans such as: “Students Against Genocide,” “Stop Complicity in Crime,” “Anthropology Students Demand Academic Boycott,” and “Boycott Apartheid Universities.”

The students chanted slogans such as: “Stop the Genocide,” “Boycott Israel,” and “Freedom for Palestine.”
