COLOMBO, May 21, 2026 (WAFA) – The government of Sri Lanka expressed concern and dissatisfaction on Thursday over the inhumane treatment by Israeli authorities of detainees abducted from the Global Sumud Flotilla.
In a statement, Sri Lanka's foreign ministry said it was working to ensure the safety of a Sri Lankan national affected by the incident and to secure her prompt and safe return to the country.
