RAMALLAH, May 12, 2026 (WAFA) – The Palestinian Meteorological Department (PMD) said that partly cloudy to clear skies are expected for today, Tuesday, with hot and dry conditions in most areas. A noticeable rise in temperatures is expected, with light to moderate northwesterly to southwesterly winds and low to moderate sea waves.
During the evening and night, the weather will be partly cloudy to clear and relatively cool in the mountainous areas, and mild in the rest of the regions.
On Wednesday, the weather will be partly cloudy to clear, mild in the mountainous areas and relatively hot in the rest of the regions, with a noticeable drop in temperatures. Winds will be moderate, occasionally becoming brisk.
On Thursday and Friday, the weather will remain partly cloudy to clear, mild in the mountainous areas and relatively hot in the rest of the regions, with no significant change in temperatures. Winds will be moderate to brisk. Sea waves will be moderate to high.
The Meteorological Department warned citizens, especially on Tuesday, against prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, particularly during peak hours between 11 am and 4 pm, and against starting fires in areas with abundant dry grass, in addition to the risk of reduced horizontal visibility due to fog formation during the late night hours and Wednesday morning.
